Cityplace Tower
The Cityplace Tower is the tallest building outside of Downtown, Dallas. This 42-story building peaks at 560 feet (171 m) with a total office space of 1.4 million square feet. Cossutta & Associates of New York designed the building and started construction in 1984. It was meant to be the corporate headquarters of the Southland Corporation, an American chain of retail stores scattered throughout the globe. It is now widely known as 7-Eleven. In 2007, 7-Eleven moved out of the Cityplace Tower. The building costs almost reached a whopping $300 million making it the most expensive project ever built in Dallas. It is at 711 North Haskell Avenue, Dallas, Texas, United States.
The Mondrian
Construction started for The Mondrian in 2003 and was completed in 2005. Thomas Brink, a well-known Dallas architect, designed this 20-story hi-rise building. At ground level, the building has approximately 20,000 square feet of retail space. Visitors can access these shops through perimeter sidewalks. There is also convenient ground-level parking for customers. On the other hand, residents have secured access to multilevel parking. A swimming pool is also available for those who would like to take a quick dip or while their time away.
