Flower Mound C.A.C Pool and Water Park – Flower Mound, Texas
In 2001, the Flower Mound Town Council-appointed Blue Ribbon Committee began holding numerous public meetings to identify and develop strategies for responding to the community’s wishes for projects in a future bond election. An overwhelming majority of residents voiced their desire for Flower Mound to build more parks and recreational facilities.
As a result, the town held a bond election in February 2002, in which residents voted to approve $25 million in bonds to build three primary parks and recreation projects: Bakersfield Park, a soccer, softball, and baseball complex for all ages; Chinn Chapel Soccer Complex, a soccer facility for all ages; and a community activity center. With a variety of amenities, ranging from aquatics and fitness areas to the teen room, the Flower Mound Community Activity Center has something for residents of all ages.
