Play Street Museum takes the traditional Children’s Museum model to the next level by providing one-of-a-kind educational experiences right in your local neighborhood. Each of our museum exhibits offers interactive learning opportunities, playable environments, and fully immersive entertainment for your little ones.
Our daily playtime by reservation sessions gives kiddos the chance to hone their social skills as they connect with others through play. They’ll get their energy out by working their body and brain when exploring the rotating Discovery Rug exhibit and will have the chance to build on their natural creativity at the art exploration station.
Sensory play is also at the forefront when your junior scientist takes a trip to our fully customizable slime lab or grabs a self-contained sensory kit to continue the fun and learning at home.
Playtime
We offer a safe and imaginative kids’ indoor play area for the simple reason that it is fun for children. Also, we love science and data. The evidence supporting the significant developmental benefits of open and pretend play for young children continues to be added to by comprehensive research in the field of child development and educational psychology.
Providing time for our children to have self-directed play stimulates their imaginations, encourages them to problem solve, and allows them to refine their social skills – helping them to build a strong framework for a lifetime of learning. Field Trips
Play Street Museum Plano is excited to offer engaging and educational field trips to our local schools and childcare centers. As you know, open-ended, unstructured play is how kiddos learn best! Plan a field trip where your students can cultivate their creativity, use their imaginations and practice their problem-solving skills! Our weekday field trip session times are 10:00-12:00 & 1:00-3:00.
Play Street Museum’s field trip pricing is a discounted rate of $11 per child. Adult chaperones are free. If you book 20+ spots (maximum 25 children) you are eligible for a private field trip session in which your group will have the museum all to yourselves.
Weekly Themes and Events
The creativity never stops at Play Street Museum with weekly themes centered around notable figures, unique holidays, interesting cultures, and more. Each week we’re open late for special Night at the Museum activities and weekends are packed with events whose themes range from pottery or canvas painting to space exploration, dino digs, and more! Your young one will surely find more than a few things to pique their interest and we think that you’ll find each special event engaging and insightful.
