Rosemeade Rainforest Aquatic Complex – Carrollton, Texas

It gets hot in Texas and one way to enjoy the hot weather is taking yourself to a two-splash park at Oak Hills Park and W.J. Thomas Park.  Each is unique and free to visit.  The Rosemeade Rainforest Aquatic Complex is an exciting destination that features a 600-gallon dump bucket, a 200-foot lazy river, zero-depth entry pools, a splash pad, 25-meter lap lanes, and two 22-foot tall water slides.

The best part of this section is that it is closed off from the main pool area by a gated fence. This means it is easy to keep an eye on multiple small children so that they don’t wander into deeper water. There isn’t anywhere that the water gets deeper in the Rosemeade Rainforest area. The play area is separated from the lazy river so that you actually have to get out of the water to move to the lazy river. The slides in this area do not empty into a pool but into a shallow straight area at the base of the slide.  If you have non-swimmers or swimmers that you are not quite confident in, you can let them play and romp in this area with no worries.

Admission

All persons entering the facility must have a ticket to enter. Children 2 & under are free when accompanied by an adult. Children 10 & under will not be admitted into the pool area unless accompanied by a responsible adult. The adult must stay with the child while at the pool.

** Proper swim attire is required to enter the pool areas. No sports bras, basketball shorts, soccer shorts, jeans or any other apparel with grommets will be allowed.**

Season Passes

Season passes are only good for the year purchased and no exchanges or refunds will be granted.  Passes can be purchased at Rosemeade Rec Center or Crosby Rec Center.  All pass holders need a photo on file and must receive a key fob to gain entry into the Rosemeade Rainforest.

Group Visits

Any social or scheduled function that arrives at the pool during weekday operational hours will impact our bather load, i.e. daycare groups, church groups, camps, etc.

Groups requesting to visit the pool on a regular or one-time basis are asked to complete a Group Request Form at least 3 days prior to visiting the facility.

Lap Swimming

The Rosemeade Rainforest offers 25 meter lanes during operating hours.  Regular admission applies.  Please be courteous of other swimmers.  Only two swimmers will be allowed per lane.

The City of Carrollton takes a proactive approach in maintaining a safe environment for swimmers at local public pools. According to the Centers for Disease Control Prevention (CDC), there is no evidence that COVID-19 can spread to people through the water used in pools, hot tubs, or water playgrounds. Proper operation and disinfection of pools, hot tubs, and water playgrounds should kill the virus that causes COVID-19. They recommend you limit close contact with people outside your home in public spaces, both in and out of the water.

“Our standard is to operate swimming pools well above the minimum state requirements,” commented Kim Bybee, Parks Manager. “We take a proactive approach to water treatment. The water at Rosemeade Rainforest, Oak Hills Splash Park, and Thomas Splash Park are all treated using chlorine and UV systems.  Many of our chemical controllers allow us to remotely regulate and control chemical levels 24 hours a day. Our goal is to provide the safest swimming environment possible under the guidelines provided by the State of Texas.”
