You will find everyone’s favorites such as ceviche, enchiladas, and tacos, but there are also more refined dishes such as Chicken Monterey with grilled chicken breast topped with spinach and Texas goat cheese on poblano rice and drenched in roasted red pepper sauce. Via Real has a nice selection of wines from all over the world, excellent house margaritas, and a large number of high-quality tequilas.
Via Reál was established in 1985
In the year before Fran Lively Mathers became the owner of Via Reál, she was a regular guest and loved dining there. After learning that it would be closing, she set out to purchase the 15-month-old establishment. Since that time, Via Reál has evolved from its original beginnings to a space twice the size in the heart of Las Colinas, on the south side of the Four Seasons Resort and Club. Today, the restaurant serves hundreds of local residents and a host of international clients regularly and has remained a top restaurant located in Dallas for more than two decades.
Fran Lively enjoyed dining at the then 15-month old Via Reál. Upon learning it was too close, she purchased the restaurant, and in the ensuing years, she instilled a gracious and sincere love for serving others. Since then, Via Reál has grown into a beautiful, successful Las Colinas establishment known nationwide for its relaxed Santa Fe style and delicious Mexican and Southwestern cuisine.
Fran Lively Mathers has grown the establishment into a very successful independent restaurant, with a kind, generous, and genuine focus on the individual guest. She builds success based on the quality of the staff at Via Reál who create comfort for each guest and, of course, the excellent cuisine.
