Carrollton is a city in Denton, Dallas, and Collin counties in Texas, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 119,087, making it the 23rd-most populous city in Texas.  

Most local historians believe Carrollton received its name from the hometown of early settlers, who came from Carrollton, Illinois. The name was officially established on May 16, 1878, when the first U.S. Post Office opened in Carrollton. 

Carrollton’s early settlers arrived in the 1840s and purchased land from The Peters Colony. The settlers typically married young and had large families. An average cabin might have been only 12 x 14 feet and would hold two parents with seven children.

These hardy pioneers were rugged individuals with incredible courage to risk it all for their dream of a better life and an even better life for future generations.

The Estates of Wellington Run Community Association is a not-for-profit organization serving the homeowners of their development. The Estates are located on the north side of Dallas, TX in the suburb community of Carrollton, TX. The residents in our development are widely diverse.

Membership in this organization is mandatory for all homeowners, per Article XIV, Section 14.1 of the protective covenants of the Association recorded as a matter of public record with the Office of the Dallas County Clerk at Volume 95013, pages 06268 of the Deed Records.
