Activities

Cowboy Chorale

This choir is currently open to all CES students in 4th and 5th grades and no audition is necessary.

The Cowboy Chorale meets from September 21st to mid-December of 2022 and performs at the City of Colleyville Christmas Tree Lighting. The choir will come back together in March to rehearse for the GCISD Elementary Music Performance Festival.

Safety Patrol

The purpose of the Colleyville Elementary Safety Patrol, made up of fifth-grade volunteers, is to help provide a safe environment during the time before and after school. Members of the Safety Patrol must have parental permission to participate and keep a satisfactory grade in conduct.

The Safety Patrol schedule is posted in the classrooms for each rotation. Students typically serve for two weeks at a time. During their off-duty time, they are often asked to substitute for a student who is unable to fulfill his/her responsibilities because of illness or appointments.

The Safety Patrol is a great asset to Colleyville Elementary. To help them with their responsibilities please follow the following requests:

  • Use the northeast entrance to use the drop-off.
  • All students (with the exception of bus riders) are expected to enter the back doors of the building.
  • Traffic to student drop-off and pick-up areas is one way. It is also a single file. Stop on your right.

Student Council

Student Council is an organization designed to give students an opportunity to accept responsibility and learn leadership skills to apply in real-life situations. Members of the student council represent their student body and help in planning exciting events for the school!

The student council assists in planning Red Ribbon Week runs the school spirit shop and supports the school in many ways. This year, some of the Student Council members participate in the TESPA Leadership workshop to learn more about being a leader in the school.

Students wishing to participate in student council, in grades 3-5, may “campaign” for office.

Student Council is a wonderful experience and promotes responsibility, confidence, and the CES community.
